About

Dr. Mehta was born in Mumbai, India and raised in Orlando, FL. He is an honors graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville where he received a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. He then received his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. After completing his pediatric residency at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Dr. Mehta continued at Emory to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.

After completing his training, Dr. Mehta was a pediatric gastroenterologist at Arnold Palmer Hospital Center for Pediatric Digestive Health and Nutrition in Orlando, Florida. Most recently he practiced at Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates until joining GI Care for Kids in 2022.

Board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology, Dr. Mehta has presented nationally and locally on several pediatric digestive topics, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), IBD, and probiotics. He has also contributed book chapters on the manifestations and treatment of GERD. He was recognized by Atlanta Magazine as a “Top Doctor” in 2022.
Dr. Mehta’s primary areas of clinical interest include GERD, IBD, liver disease, and cystic fibrosis. He is fluent in Gujarati.

When he is not working, Dr. Mehta enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 sons. His interests include sports (go Gators!), traveling, and trying new vegetarian cuisine in Atlanta.
