About

Dr. Chelly Dykes grew up in Tennessee and joined GI Care for Kids in 2017.

Dr. Dykes has published work in various medical journals and continues to advance in the care of children with chronic gastrointestinal conditions. She is the Medical Director of the Improve Care Now (ICN) program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Scottish Rite Hospital. ICN is a nationwide program dedicated to transforming the health, care and costs for all children and adolescents with Crohn’s disease and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD or ulcerative colitis) by building a sustainable collaborative chronic care network where clinicians, researchers, parents and patients work to bring about more reliable, proactive IBD care. Dr. Dykes is a part of the ICN Community Council and Co-Lead for an ICN learning lab. She enjoys being a camp doctor for Camp Oasis (IBD camp) and loves being able to spend time with our kids away from the office. She continues to participate in multi-center research through the ICN network.

When she’s not working, Dr. Dykes enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and children.
