About

Dr. Aminu Mohammed was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa.

After completing his medical education and training, Dr. Mohammed cared for children and adolescents suffering from a wide variety of medical conditions while in private practice in Macon, Georgia. At the same time, he taught gastroenterology to medical students and residents at the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon.

Dr. Mohammed joined the GI Care for Kids family in 2015.

He has authored publications on clinical and basic science research and has spoken at international conferences. When not working, Dr. Mohammed enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid soccer fan.
