Dana Dykes, M.D.

Dr. Dana Dykes grew up in Tennessee and graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science in French and Neuroscience. She then received her Doctorate in Medicine at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Alabama. Then she headed to Cincinnati where she completed her GI fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. During that time, she earned her Masters of Science in Clinical and Translational Research at the University of Cincinnati. She has published work in various medical journals and continues to work to further the improvement of children with chronic medical conditions.

Dr. Dykes joined GI Care for Kids in 2017. She is board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition and Pediatrics. She is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN) and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. She is interested in inflammatory bowel disease and quality improvement in healthcare. When not at work, Dr. Dykes enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and children.
